Concept design for first BB 10 phone
The rumored specs for the BlackBerry Blade include a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 4.5 inch AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter (remember when a 5MP camera on back was outrageous?) and this device will support 3G, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi hotspots.
While we have no official word from RIM about the BlackBerry Blade, the design from Pixelcarves is a way of telling RIM that this is what their first BlackBerry 10 model smartphone should look like. Remember, this might be RIM's last chance to stay relevant in the smartphone world. No longer can the manufacturer be content to almost match iOS and Android like they did with the BB 7 flavored BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930. Even matching the duo might not be enough. This time, RIM needs to blow away the fans, pundits and the competition with something that goes above and beyond anything that is currently available.
